SUMMARY:Family Retreat Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Family Retreat Weekend at the Pali Retreat Center in the San Bernardino National Forest.  \nHFSC invites families living with a rare bleeding disorder to enjoy a weekend in the mountains for family camp. Sample activities for kids and parents include a campfire\, arts and crafts\, ropes course\, archery\, and talent show. Teen and parent activities also are offered throughout the weekend including self-infusion instruction. This special weekend offers much-needed respite\, recreation\, and family time while also allowing children attending summer camp to get to know each other before leaving for camp.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register all members of your party together. HFSC will make cabin assignments based on what type of cabins are available at the time of registration. Each cabin must have at least one person age 18+. Adding participants to your group after initial registration will be based on availability and is not guaranteed. Please note that bedding and towels are not provided by Pali. Thank you!

Summer campers will have an opportunity to get to know each other prior to Camp Blood Brothers and Sisters! \nCheck in is at Friday\, June 2\, 2023 at 4:00pm and Check out is Sunday\, June 4\, 2023 at 11:00am. \nPali Retreat Center has a limited number of beds available for our group and we welcome all immediate family members LIVING IN THE HOUSEHOLD of the person with a bleeding disorder. Priority will be given to families who complete the pre-registration here and \n1. Are recently diagnosed and \n2. Have never attended a family retreat \nThis year’s retreat is $10 per person for the weekend (ages 2 and under free). Once you are pre-registered here\, we will send you the remaining forms and application to complete. \nRefunds are available if requested before May 5\, 2023. \nPlease register only if you are able to attend for the full weekend. Please expect to bring your own bedding (i.e. sleeping bags and pillows) and toiletries. HFSC will provide all food\, beverages and snacks. Food is not allowed in the cabins. Refrigeration available in dining room for medication storage. Please arrive no later than 8pm though we will not be able to provide dinner to anyone arriving after 6:30pm. o \n** HFSC collects data from visitors to this site. Information collected is entered into the HFSC database. The visitor will be placed on a list to receive HFSC e-mail communications (HFSC once a month event notices and any other notices of importance to the bleeding disorders community and others)\, as well as occasional communications by regular mail.
