Community Groups

The Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California is always looking to better serve the community. Our Community Groups provide space where patients and caregivers can openly share about their similar experiences, challenges, and journeys. These groups are meeting virtually during Covid-19 but we hope to meet again soon.

Mujeres Enlazadas por Sangre

This group was established to help meet the needs of the Spanish speaking community with bleeding disorders. This is a group of Spanish speaking women which includes, women affected with a bleeding disorder, spouses, mothers, caretakers, and grandmothers. They connect periodically and are educated in various topics pertaining to bleeding disorders community.

Bleeders Reaching Out (BRO)

Bleeders Reaching Out (BRO) was established to help meet the needs of adult men in the bleeding disorder community. This group was created for adult men affected by a bleeding disorder and includes dads, siblings and spouses which meet every other month to get support on various topics which can affect them. A main component of the group is peer support. BRO provides education, promotes healthy practices, and engages men in developing strong self-advocacy skills
