Cynthia Lua, LMFT
Cynthia Lua is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist certificated in Expressive Arts Therapy. Cynthia has extensive experience working with kids, teens, and adults in individual, group, school, community, and medical settings. As a Bilingual clinician, Cynthia has facilitated reflective parenting groups, coping skills groups as well as life transitions groups for parents and children. Cynthia works from a Person Centered and Strengths Based orientation; she is committed to helping people feel empowered, discover, and utilize their strengths, understand the “why” in what they are experiencing, and find an outlet for their emotions. Cynthia’s specialty is Expressive Arts Therapy; an approach where various arts- movement, drawing, painting, music, writing, sound, and improvisation are used in a supportive setting to facilitate growth and healing. Through the Expressive Arts, Cynthia helps her patients discover outlets for their experiences and emotions when words are not accessible.
